Grade Twelve Should Be Optional

I'm in grade twelve and learning almost nothing. None of my studies are actually qualifying me for my future career. The only reason that I'm there is to do my time and get a little piece of paper that says I'm and acceptable member of society. I know that the theory of making kids learn things that they don't want to know about is legit, but what about when these kids become "young adults" and get a focus on what they want to do? This happened to me in grade 10, which is also the approximate time I became "well rounded" (well, that is as well rounded as was possible for me). My progression and interest in all my subjects faded out about this time as well and I started to focus entirely on art. Well more specifically car design, which is something that I wasn't sure about pursuing until this time.
I started to draw constantly, during every class. In a year my skills doubled and then again in grade 11 and now once more in grade 12. Most classes I skip I go to the art room and work on sketches or maybe a small scale model of a sketch in clay. I now devote as much time as possible to art, and as little as is required to pass my classes. My career path does not require at any point academic ability; so, why waste time when I could be working for my future?
